John S. Baron and Associates began in the mid 1950’s with John S. Baron II at
the helm. After considerable growth his son Gary came on board in 1973. John
was responsible for Tennessee and Gary covered Kentucky. The business
flourished throughout the 70's and early 80's.
Some of the earliest lines were Homac Mfg. and Preformed Line Products
which we still represent to this day.
In 1982 John Baron Died unexpectedly. Gary took over at that time. He then
changed the company name to Power Service Agency. The years to come were
very exciting with the addition of Pirelli Cable, Hughes Brothers and CDR
systems to an
already extensive line card. Power Service Agency’s business has grown
exponentially through current day.
Power Service Agency is dedicated to friends and associates in the electrical
marketplace. We pride ourselves on longstanding relationships with
manufacturers, distributors and utilities. Some of those friendships have been
decades in the making. We built these relationships with paramount customer
service. We also stay active in schools and organizations committed to
progress within power utilities. Last but not least is time with our friends off
the clock.
These relationships have seen many changes in our industry. Changes that
include the overhead transmission and distribution segments verge toward
underground applications. We are now moving forward with our partners as
they enter the broadband and communications arena. These are new and
exciting times and we look forward to the challenges.

Power Service Agency has a new
Demonstration trailer on the road. We have
most of our lines represented on the trailer with
a strong emphasis on underground products.
We do many schools in our territory and display
at various E&O meetings around the territory.
Our trailer has transformers mounted on
boxpads, We show many of our transformer
and submersible connectors Homac's Z bar,
ABK, RAB Series, USK Series and our Radiating
Rib splice(RRK). Primary and secondary cable
stripping and preparation and a host of other
products.
